On the Pilastro della Tofana di Rozes in the Dolomites Massimo Da Pozzo, Natasha Alexander and Samuele Majoni have made the first ascent of Spigolo Sam (6c, 500m circa).

Sunday 6 May 2012. The final day of the 9th Melloblocco ended with some magic by Russian Alexey Rubtsov who managed to send, in the rain, the problem Ombre Multidimensionali. 2200 climbers took part in the event. The competition was won by Shauna Coxsey, Michele Caminati, Anthony Gullsten and Alexey Rubtsov. Despite the rain on Saturday and Sunday the world's biggest international bouldering meeting turned out to be a success. And preparations are already underway in Val Masino – Val di Mello for next year's 10th edition.

Due to bad weather conditions in the Tete Blanche sector the race was interrupted and the teams have to return to Zermatt by feet. There will be no more starts from Z1. The start from Arolla A1 will take place.

The timing has been perfect, one week earlier there were only snowstorms and one week later the snow already melted. Marco and Andreas were so able to ski nearly alone on the mountains of this island and had a great time toghether....

On 24 March 2012 Maurizio "Manolo" Zanolla made the first ascent of Roby Present (35m, proposed grade 8c+/9a) in Val Noana (Pale di San Martino, Dolomites). Established by Manolo, the route is dedicated to his friend Roberto Bassi.
